So after a few days of relaxing after the hand in date, the stress of a new project starts again - Its a good job I love what I do. This new project is rather different and a lot more exciting than the previous two, and it will test my time management a lot too! The new project is a live brief with Moo designs, a local business that have taken the world by storm - or a least Yorkshire! Moo designs are a company that hand create garments, bags and jewelry which are all unique. Creating mood boards, visual sheets, development sheets and taking inspiration from my sketchbook I shall be creating a minimum of 5 samples, putting the techniques I learnt in the last project to the test as each sample has to be using at least two techniques. At the end of the project I will be presenting my samples and my sheet work to Moo designs as will the rest of my class and Moo designs will choose a sample out of the whole class to recreate into a length of fabric, which they will then turn into an avant garde garment. In my brief it states that I have to take inspiration from marine invertebrate sea creatures, colour ways will consist of monochrome and one contrasting colour which I can use as little or as often as I desire, strong focuses on texture depth and building layers and decorative can be used. This brief is the start of my project, Lets see how it go's!
