The picture above is my first visual sheet, using the colour blue for the background to portray the ocean. I took the shapes and patterns to create this visual sheet. I used colours that are forecasted for S/S14 such as pastels to bring this sheet to life. I mainly used dots and dashes to pattern the background. I could develop this by using the shells and making them different scales, aswell as using the other shapes as part of a pattern.
I decided to experiment with colours and media on this visual sheet, i wanted to mix the S/S14 tropical theme and pastels together. To create the background i used a mixure of brusho colours, different shades of blue. I then used bleach to paint on patterns from my mood boards. I was the going to just layer it up by using black fine liner over the top of the bleached background but the outcome was too dark so i used the same colour pastels as my other visual sheet and it brought it back to life.
In conclusion i like the visual sheets i have produced, to improve i could have managed my time better and done another visual sheet. But quality not quantity, right?
I love the pastel pink and the bright orange on my sheets, but i still need to decide which colour i want to use in my colour scheme.
What next?
The next thing i need to do to is choose the colour i want to develop into my colour scheme and develop my sheets into development sheets.
Thanks for reading.
