My second day in the print room was spent doing more screen print samples, experimenting with colours and backgrounds.
Firstly i dyed my white cotton (a3 size) with pink and yellow brusho, i created stripes as i thought it would fit in with my fun fair theme. Once it was dry i use pigment dye to screen print my design onto it, i did this using the colour black SN-G.
Here is a picture of this sample.
The next sample i did was originally using the puff binder but it didnt turn out how i wanted it to, so i decided to print over it using red mx5 and turquoise 4g. To make it more interesting instead of doing the prints repeat and neat, i changed the angle of the screen and made the final outcome look layered and textured.
Here is a picture of the final sample.
The next sample i did was an experiment, however the final outcome looks quite nice, although to make it look better i would work into it using other techniques.
Using blue organza and red mx5 pigment i created this sample. Here is a picture of the final outcome.
These are the only samples i created in my second day in the print room. I feel like i could have done some more at a high quality so that is what i shall concentrate on the next time i am in the print room.
