Technical process - needle felting

Needle felting is a technique similar to wet felting as it both involves using wool to create felted outcomes. Needle felting is used to create a pattern, picture or scene into material using needles. To do this you need wool (any colour) , a high density sponge, needle felting needles and needle holder, and material to needle felt into.

It was the first time I ever needle felted and I thought it was very easy and I am happy with my outcome.
To start needle felting all you need to do is place the wool over the material you want to put it on in the place you would like it to be (start of with small amounts of wool and build it up) you then start gently stabbing your wool and the fibres will conect the wool and felt or material together ( make sure your sponge is underneath when doing this). With needle felting you can create very detailed pictures of scenes.

This is my final outcome which I am very happy with. In conclusion I really enjoy doing this technique and think the outcomes can be lovely.
