I'm sure i've said it once but i'm going to say it again - Monday mornings are really not too bad when you have CAD class. Infact I have been really enjoying it so far.
As part of a project I have been working on for my professional practice module I have been using my skills from my CAD lesson's to create digital art for that project. In last monday's lesson I used scanned in drawings from my sketchbook, I explored with the gradient tool, layers, hue/saturation and filters to create a blended collaged effect which can be printed out as samples for my project.
Above is my least favourite colour way, The colours do not compliment each other in the way I would like them too. They are not bright enough and do not represent the theme of my project well enough, However I am glad I found this colour way as I can learn from this.
The design above is one of my favourite ones, The layers are clear yet blended really well, the colours are lovely and each part of the design could be zoomed in and more amazing colours could be picked out.
This design (both above and below) is a quick design I did pulling all my favourite parts of previous designs together and changing the colours and effects. The one above is the original and the one below is my preferred one which has been edited.
This design goes really well with my project, The effects I put on the scanned in leaves on the top layer give a really nice effect. I will most defiantly be printing this off as a sample.
Above is another quick mixture which I put together of parts of other designs, I like how nicely everything is blended and collaged on this one however I am not 100% on the colours.
To further my development I will be scanning in more of my drawings and own photography to create some even better designs also using more metallic glitchy colours as well as adding a glitch/distorted effect to the end design - I will be taking inspiration from artists and designers I have researched into also.
Thank you for reading. If you have any further questions about this project or my CAD class feel free to leave comments below.
