She knows what people want from talking to them, asking them questions. She took a lampshade around to buyers and asked them what they thought, Their feedback taught her that colour way very important as it would have to fit in with peoples home's.

She sell's and promotes her work at trade shows, her own small shop, she mainly focuses on commission work as she says it is 'stressful, exciting and experimental.'

"Hard worker, Self-motivation, Flexibility, Perseverance is very important." She say's that as a designer-maker you have to do every job from being the project manager to the cleaner, She has to not be bossy but to drive people. You also have to be firm with the clients. "You have to be good with people, Keep the dialogue going, While all the time at the back of your mind are deadlines and difficulties."
