Corporate Business Cards - Completed!

My first blog post since I got back from my holiday! This morning I completed my corporate business card's. After creating a few designs I took inspiration from the research I did. I decided to create my business card's double sided as I wanted to incorporate some pictures I taken my self onto my business card's, To do this and make it look professional I thought it would look better if I used the pictures as backgrounds.

As you can see I used white box's with a thick black outline to keep my information in, I used different pictures for the front and back. Keeping my name and title on the front and my information on the back to keep things spread out and giving it a professional look.

Here are my final business card's I used the spray mount to stick them together as glue and double sided wouldn't leave a very professional look.
I hope you like my business card's I created for my exhibition. I am very happy with them and I am glad that they are finally done.

Thankyou for reading.

10 Tips For Organising Your Work!

During school and college it is a very important time of your life and managing that time to make the most out of your education is key. In this blog post I shall share with you how I organise my study time, Specialising in textiles I have found that I get a lot more done if I am organised and well planned, during project's I have to organise my time well to manage my sampling time and time to create my final piece. These study tips will suit every subject, not just textiles, although different people organise their study time different to suit their need's, This blog post will explain how I manage my time.

Firstly, I have a notebook dedicated to managing my time, I got this notebook from 'The works' for £1.99 and it looks like this...
Time management notebook

It's simple really, On a daily basis I write what I have done that day and what I plan to do the next day, Here is an example for you...
Daily notebook entries

I then write a do to list for thing's I need to do in the future from the day I have just wrote about in my notebook, This doe's not have to be a to do list for the next day but for the next week or the next fortnight then you can refer back to it, priorities your work (think about hand in dates and what needs doing first) and you can pick what you need to do next and that can be your goal for the next day. If you repeat this method on a daily basis you will find your self as I do, To be doing more work in the time you have. Remember to have rest day's though - If you get too overwhelmed with college work take a rest and come back to it.

To do lists!

Tips!

  1. Organise your self with a notebook using to do lists!
  2. Make sure you know and understand the task you need to do.
  3. Turn off all distractions - This will make you work faster and better as you will not be distracted.
  4. Make goals!
  5. Buy folders with dividers for each subject and maybe colour coordinate each folder to a subject..
  6. Sticky notes are your bestfriends!
  7. Take note's in class.
  8. Organise your bag and clothes on the night before school or college to make sure you have everything and to minimize time in the morning, you don't want to be late and an extra ten mins in bed is totally worth it!
